Two letters from Congressman Robert Newton Page to D. A. Houston of Monroe, N.C. In one letter, 22 August 1906, Page congratulated Houston on his nomination in the primary for clerk of the court and encouraged him to turn out the vote for Democratic candidates in the November election. In the other letter, 5 February 1917, Page informed Houston that he had been working to have Houston appointed director of the Farm Loan Bank at Columbia.
